What is ECandD?

D. Hanie Lancaster, elevator industry pioneer with over forty years experience in the US and abroad, founded Elevator Consulting and Design in October 2000. ECandD is a small business enterprise providing elevator consulting services and support to architects, developers, building owners and managers, contractors, and governmental agencies.

Forty-eight years of elevator industry experience. As president of Elevator Consulting and Design Inc., he provides third-party elevator inspection and certification services to building owners, building managers, contractors, municipalities, and institutions. His previous experience includes upper level management with Westinghouse, Millar, Motion Control, and Southeastern Elevator Company.

He is a Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI), certified through the National Association of Elevator Safety Authority International. (NAESA) Although his elevator industry career has been educational, challenging, exciting, rewarding, and pleasurable, it is yet incomplete. Mr. Lancaster is continues to be challenged by the uniqueness of the industry and multitude of remedies for solving problems, and ever changing Elevator Safety Code requirements. He has a high energy level, good communication and computer skills, a pleasant disposition, strong elevator technical background, and good work ethics. He is driven to make available his personal skills, attributes, and knowledge of the Elevator Safety Code to potential clients that have need for elevator consulting and elevator inspection services.
